North Downs YFC's AGM 2007 10th October, 2007 This year's AGM was North Downs' third and, as usual, the centre-piece of the meeting was the election of a new committee to serve over 2007/8. A few new faces have taken places running the club, including new members Samantha, Nicola and Gina (who all joined this year). We also saw the return of Charlotte Kemp to committee, and the surprise election of Adam Gillem-Bussey (Gib) as our new club President.
Familiar faces remained in positions, such as Carl and Rosie as Chair and Vice-chair respectively, and Clive as Treasurer. Stephen switched to Secretary, making way for Kelly-Anne and her sister Samantha to take over the vacancy at Events and Social. Former president Nia Atkinson decided to run with Zoe for Kent Show organiser - a very demanding role later in the year. Gina and Nicola joined committee as the Sports and Comps people. The big surprise of the night was the election of Adam (Gib) to the high office of President. It may be possible that Gib has entered the record books as the UK's youngest ever club president! As President, Gib is the ceremonial figure-head of the club. He has the final say on all matters concerning the general direction of the club, and holds an executive veto.

The AGM was also an opportunity to hand out the North Downs Cup for one final time this year. The cup was won by Sam Stevens, for the strong support she has given club events over the Summer.
