Living on the Land day

Kent YFC were delighted to take part in 'Kent's biggest school outing'. 4000 primary school children visited the Kent County Showground to gain an insight into rural life and to see where food actually comes from.

Stephen (Fred) Bullock and Verity Gerrish from Maidstone YFC headed the team that promoted Kent YFC in the Stanley Cornwallis Building.


Cobtree YFC meeting HRH The Duke of Gloucester

Clubs including the North School, Cobtree, Homewood School, Meopham, Westlands
School and Brockhill Park, took part and gave the pupils a chance to meet animals -
sometimes for the first time.

Cobtree were proud to be presented to HRH The Duke of Gloucester who toured the
event and took great interest in the YFC area.

Kent YFC also took part in radio interviews on the day further promoting the
YFC movement and British agriculture.
