Sports & Comps 2008 A quick update on the Sports & Comps for this year. First of all a massive thank you and well done to those from Meopham and Westlands who took part in the South East Area Speaking competitions last weekend, they all did really well and a particular well done to Meopham’s Brainstrust team who won the event! The next County event is the County Quiz on 29th March – you should all have had posters about this now, but if you have any queries, want any more info, or want to book a team, please do ‘phone me. After that we have the County ten-pin bowling on 5th April. Again, you should have had info about this but if you need any more, let me know. I must have any entries for this no later than Friday 21st March so that I can book the bowling. Finally, Kent is hosting the South East Area sports competitions on Sunday 13th April, kindly being held at Westlands School. As the hosting county, it would be really good if we could enter a team for each of the events. The competitions are as follows and if you have anyone who would like to take part, please let me know as soon as possible. The deadline for entries is 28th March, so if I could have your entries sooner, that would be great. We only need one team for each competition from the whole county, so if your club can only offer one or two members, please don’t worry, hopefully other clubs can offer members too and we can make up a whole team.
Please let me know as soon as possible about anyone you have who is able to take part in the sports comps. I also look forward to receiving any entries for the quiz and the ten-pin bowling! Many thanks,
