15th - 16th - 17th July 2011 - Kent Show 2011

Firstly...an amazing show even tho the weather was incharge for most of the weekend. Sheep, Cattle, Small Animals and Young Farmers - what more could you need? - Maybe a good tent...
Darren and the Kent Show team organised and sorted out everything once again and made the show what it is. We had over 150 animals over the 3 days of the show, either showing in the rings or around the YFC areas for people to see.

The Kent YFC Marketing and Publicity Tent worked well this year, we were fortunate to be loaned a excellent John Deere Tractor which had many show visiters heads turning, with the occational snap of the camera. Along side the tractor and Marquee we had some Round Bales of straw, kindly brought up by Ant Ellis (Canterbury YFC) which were used for one of our competitions and the 'It's a knock out' which this years winners were Cobtree YFC.
Over the weekend the Marketing and Publicity team managed to make £217.60, which is great!

11th July - F&O & Exec Meeting & Kent Show 2011

This months F&O meeting was held up at the Kent County Show Ground @ Detling, as everyone is up there for the setup of the biggest event of the Young Farmers Calender - Kent County Show 2011.

The main items discussed was obviously the Kent Show. This year at the Marketing and Publicity tent we have managed to arrange to have a tractor delivered from Burdens, so many thanks goes to the people behind this. We have Cattle, Sheep and other small animals getting fluffed up and in show condition as we speak. Mock stock auction will be taking place, where you can have a go and see if you can match the price of what is in the ring. Other competions include 'Guess the weight of the Bales' and 'How much does the tractor cost to fill' both include prizes to be one so have a go and enter, you never know you might just get it right!

Make sure you head back to www.kentyfc.co.uk after the Kent Show to see all the photos, competition winners and more updates

See you at the show!!
